TANYS was thrilled to be back in Rome, NY this year. We offered the Festival features you know and love at a NEW location: the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Rome, a 1928 facility newly renovated to its original look.
And the Festival weekend was condensed to 2 days:
Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22.

This year marked the 66th year of New York State's only festival for community theatre. So our Festival theme playfully recalled the famed U.S. Route 66 and the song about it, "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66."

We enjoyed 8 wonderful performances, informative feedback from our Festival Adjudicators, the Friday night Afterglow and Saturday night Awards Banquet, the BMI Supply Design Competition, the Silent Auction, and fun with friends old and new!

Every year, the TANYS Festival is one of the BEST deals you'll find anywhere to be immersed in the live theatre experience. Whether you're new to Festival, or a longtime attendee, this event is the highlight of community theatre in New York State.
